We are so moved by all the people that came to us for their holiday shopping and want to say a thousand thanks!

Also, look at the work Joy Pravasath did on our awning! At this point we should cease to be amazed by his multiple talents but they just keep coming. Add sign painter to the ol' res, Joy. Look out for his finishing touches; I'm sure they'll be smokin'. He also painted Vacation's sign. BTW, Vacation is up for one of Daily Candy's Sweetest Things for 2008! Don't slip on this opportunity to help with their success - cast your vote!

Hey Guys!! We need your help!!

Chris Devoe / Rachael Spiewak benefit at Highland Inn. Thurs., Dec. 11th.

Local bands and DJs are coming together to raise funds and awareness after a Dec. 3 home invasion in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood rattled both the community and Atlanta music scene.

On Thursday night at 9 p.m. at the Highland Inn Ballroom on North Highland Avenue, the Gaye Blades — which includes members of the Black Lips — and Noot d' Noot, along with a "special surprise guest," will headline a night of raffle giveaways to benefit local musician and DJ Chris Devoe and community activist Rachael Spiewak of SoPo Bicycle Co-op. Guest DJs will also spin records throughout the night.

Criminal Records, Youngblood Gallery, Sweetgrass Salon, Charis Books & More and other local businesses are contributing items for the raffle.

"Our tagline for the event is 'It's a neighborhood watch,'" says Suzy Moran, one of the fundraiser organizers. "We want it to be a benefit [for the victims], but also a way for the community to come together."

Organizers are requesting a $5 donation at the door to help the victims.

Please come out! You know we'd be there if this had happened to you!

OOH WHEE! Atlanta Magazine awarded us the "Best Upgrade for Up and Coming Galleries"! Here we are at the awards party last night. We got someone to take our picture as proof (look, mom!) We were very unfashionably early and tried semi-successfully to professionally mingle with others. We felt a wee bit out of place but hey, we must be doing something right! Thanks to all of you for creating a buzz about our new spot that made it's way into the Atlanta Magazine offices! xoxo
