Kraftwork is back, y'all !!!

If you've been missing our monthly indie art and kraft market, it's back with a bang! We've taken the last couple months to restructure Kraftwork with our new co-organizers, Christy and Shannon from I.C.E.! From now on, we'll be previewing artists' work so we can make sure there is a great balance of items to shop for.

The market will continue to be held on the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The first Kraftwork in our new space will take place on Thursday, September 4th.
Attention Vendors! Go the the I.C.E. website for detailed instructions on how to start your submissions!

"The Shape of Things to Come"

Last Saturday was opening night of Matt Relkin's solo show "The Shape of Things to Come". It was a successful night! If you missed the opening, you can stop by to see his works through the end of the month.

Matt hails from Sarasota, FL and currently resides in New York City. He is an alumni of Ringling School of Art & Design, and is also participating in a show with 5 other Ringling College alumni this month. You can catch the show at Beep Beep Gallery.

Matt's solo show consists of 20 drawings and paintings. His drawings are pen, ink, and acrylic on paper. His paintings are acrylic on panel. Landscapes of black towers, floating monoliths, black tendrils, drops of blood, and shots of color. Matt explores and photographs the city at night..

This piece is my favorite.
"Bloodcloud" pen and ink, acrylic on paper 11x15 $600

I'll leave the explanation of Matt's work up to him. Read his blog here.
