After closing a couple months ago, we are hungry for some art! Last night we checked out a group show, "Courants Sous Marin" (Undercurrents) with work by Adam Reed, Shonda Smith, Meshakai Wolf, and Joy Phrasavath.
Joys says, "The show explores the many creative perspectives, interpretations, and approaches that each artist faces when venturing outside of one's comfort zones/levels. The outcomes leave room for much surprise".
It was a great show and we recommend stepping out to Oakhurst's Kavarna which is a really cool coffee shop and beer/wine bar.
After leaving the show, we got word that a tornado had hit not only downtown Atlanta but Cabbagetown as well. Our sympathies to everyone who was affected by the storm.
